The 29th NISPAcee Annual Conference
Ljubljana, Slovenia / May 20 – 22, 2021
Organised in cooperation with Faculty of Public Administration, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia
The NISPAcee Steering Committee is carefully monitoring the development of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are promising signs regarding the feasibility of our May conference. Nevertheless, the Steering Committee has decided in its recent meeting that, at this point, it is not possible to formulate a responsible position regarding the timing and the format of the conference. Therefore the Steering Committee has postponed this decision to the end of February 2021.
As announced, the NISPAcee Annual Conference 2021will take place either in person, virtually or as a combination of these possibilities. The Call for submissions to the NISPAcee 29th Annual Conference was successful and despite difficult times, more than 230 abstracts have been received and reviewed by the conference coordinators and chairs. Taking into account the feedback from conference participants, a strong preference is given to the physical format. Therefore, the Steering Committee will rely on the following three scenarios when the final decision will be taken, depending on the evolvement of the COVID-19 pandemic in the upcoming months:
- First, a strong preference will be given to a physical conference in Ljubljana, in May 2021. The opportunity for a limited number of online participation is considered.
- Second, if the physical conference is not possible in May 2021, it will be postponed to October 2021, in Ljubljana.
- Third, if the physical conference is still not feasible in the Fall, the NISPAcee Annual Conference will take place in a virtual format in October 2021.
We would like to thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope that the NISPAcee community stays strong and safe over these extraordinary times. We are looking forward to meeting you in Ljubljana in 2021.
