Current Challenges for Local Government Strategic and Financial Management

The content of the proposed training will be based on both broad international and national Slovak experience. NISPAcee has already collected comprehensive information pertaining to practices (and malpractices) in public management in the CEE region. Thanks to its international position, NISPAcee also has comprehensive international knowledge regarding the best public management practices in the world.With this workshop, NISPAcee wishes to share its knowledge with experts and practitioners from all regions. NISPAcee experts are expected to provide additional examples and experience from Slovakia and other CEE countries, together with a field trip to discuss related topics directly with well experienced Slovak LG practitioners.

Target group: local government officials responsible for strategic/policy making decisions at the local level e.g. mayors, financial managers at the local level and elected officials of local government councils.
