The publication is divided into two parts. The first part discusses the level of corruption in central and eastern European countries. The second part focuses on individual anti-corruption measures utilised in Central and Eastern Europe. Each paper presents only one instrument and in the form of case studies it presents the mechanics, rationale of adoption and sustainability potential of each tool. The main goal of the presented case studies is to examine the concrete impact of the adopted measures on the scope of corruption in a particular area as well as the pursuant political economy. This publication is based on the comprehension of the anti corruption effects on distinct public policies as well as on the understanding of the means of their pursuit and enforcement. The case studies are examples of the anti-corruption tools utilised in practice.
