Conference REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Deadline for applications with papers and proposals for panels and forums was October 31, 2005 (closed)
The coordinators of the General Session, of the session on the Main Conference Theme and Working Group coordinators, have selected the papers to be presented at the conference.
The final version of the completed paper should be prepared according to NISPAcee MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES (in PDF) and submitted via the NISPAcee website by April 10, 2006 at the latest.
Preliminary list of accepted papers
- Experiences of the new EU member states in building transparent and impartial implementing institutions in order to utilize the advantages of their EU membership.
- Impacts of the EU accession on the professionalization of public administration and public policy in CEE countries.
- Conclusions of the subsidiarity in the practice on the national and municipal level of the public administration.
- The guarantees of a transparent and professional system of public procurement.
- Imbalances in politico-administrative relations: politicization and its consequences in the civil service and in the policy process. Analysis and cases of the latest developments in civil service systems.

Registration for the conference and Hotel Reservations:
NISPAcee will not provide grants for participation in the conference. All applicants are therefore requested to find their own resources, either from their schools or institutions or by applying for individual grants through domestic or international sponsor organisations which provide grants for conference participation. Please contact the NISPAcee Secretariat immediately if you need any assistance in this matter (e.g. invitation letter). NISPAcee, in co-operation with the working groups’ coordinators, has been developing projects for seeking funding to support Working Groups activities, including travel and lodging for a limited number of participants during the meetings. However, this funding is not guaranteed
The coordinators of the General Session, of the session on the Main Conference Theme and Working Group coordinators, have selected the papers to be presented at the conference using the following criteria:
General Session:
(a) Scholar quality,
(b) interest of topic and
(c) “from or about the region”, i.e. papers from Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, or about that region.
Main Conference Theme and Working Groups:
- The nature of the topic and its relevance to the main theme of the conference or a working group - The specificity of the research topic and/or case example
The final version of the completed paper should be prepared according to NISPAcee MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES (in PDF) and submitted via the NISPAcee website by April 10, 2006 at the latest.
The publication of speeches or papers presented at the Conference requires the authorisation of NISPAcee. This means that the authors should contact the President of the Association, or the Executive Director, prior to giving their agreement for publication of their paper by some source other than NISPAcee.
