Joint Belarusian-German Project

"Competencies for Development of Adult Education at the Local Level”

 


The Belarusian Office of the Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V. and Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus are organizing and coordinating the joint long-term project for representatives of regional and municipal administrations and heads of complementary education centres: "Competencies for Development of Adult Education at the Local Level”.

 


The project’s mission is to raise awareness of local administrators about modern approaches to organizing adult education courses and to teach them effective programme management. The project also envisages that a number of projects for promoting adult education services at the local level will be developed.

 


The project’s steering committee has selected seven best project offers submitted by regional and local administrations.

 


The project’s roadmap:

1. September 24-26, 2012: three-day seminar "Adult Education and Municipality/Local Self-Government;

2. October 15-17, 2012: three-day seminar "Project Engineering in Educational Programmes”;

3. November 2012: development and presentation of team projects on development of adult education in a certain region;

4. November-December 2012: Study Trip to Germany;

5. January-February 2013: financially supported implementation of the winning project.
