"Managing Public Investments at the Municipal Level in Georgia” National conference

The project "Managing Public Investments at the Municipal Level in Georgia" began in November 2010 and was organised by NISPAcee, in conjunction with its Project Partner Institution "The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia” (NALAG). The project is supported by SlovakAid.
 
The National Conference will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia on March 20, 2012. The conference will be led by the Georgian Project Coordinator David Melua, Project Expert Akaki Dzagania, Slovak Project Experts Juraj Nemec, Peter Krištofík, Hussam Musa, and Ľudmila Gajdošová and Project Manager Elena Žáková.

The participants include representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance, Parliament, Local Government, NGOs dealing with local budget monitoring, educational institutions and the media.
 
The conference programme includes a presentation on the Regional Developement Strategy and its importance for EU integration. However, the main focus will be on the project and topical areas selected for the manual, developed within the project, the project´s results and lessons learned from the project's implementation.
