The National Academy for Public Administration, Serbia, is the central institution in the professional development system within public administration of the Republic of Serbia and has the status of an officially recognised organiser of informal adult education activities. It was established by the Law on the National Academy for Public Administration (in October, 2017) and started its work in March 2018, assuming the role of the central national institution for professional development. Upon the establishment, the Academy has taken over the Training Centre of the Human Resource Management Service, which has been operating since 2005, and continued to organise training activities.
The National Academy for Public Administration follows current trends in human resources management in its operations and responds to challenges in the process of professionalisation of public administration. The Academy cooperates with all public administration bodies and organisations, as well as with the representatives of professional circles and academia, non-governmental organisations and professional associations. As regards international cooperation, the Academy has signed four cooperation agreement with counterpart institutions and become a member of three main networks of schools and institutes of public administration.
