EAPAA Board and General Meetings

EAPAA Board and General Meeting were held during the recent EGPA conference in Milan, Italy on August 31, 2017. NISPAcee was represented at the meetings by the President Juraj Nemec and Ľudmila Gajdošová, NISPAcee Executive Director. Meetings were chaired by Mirko Vintar, the Chair of the EAPAA Board. Other participants included Taco Brandsen, EAPAA General Secretary, Edoardo Ongaro, EGPA President, Geert Bouckaert, IIAS President, Marleen Brans, Chair of the Accreditation Committee and Seeta Autar, EAPAA Secretary.

The agenda of the meetings included reports and discussions on EAPAA activities 2016 – 2017, finances, work of the Accreditation Committee and planned accreditations. Taco Brandsen reported that new EAPAA services - EAPAA certifications, which would award an excellence in teaching PA and in internationally based teaching, have been launched and could be especially beneficial for programmes from the NISPAcee region.

EQAR and The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) accreditation of EAPAA was extensively discussed as the present one expires in 2018. This would require an intensive preparation for reaccreditation and a lot of resources, human and financial. The Board decided to postpone any decision in this matter.
