TEMPUS project
"DEPOCEI - Development of Policy-Oriented Training Programmes in the Context of European Integration”
NISPAcee is participating in the TEMPUS project led by the Faculty of Political Sciences – University of Belgrade, Serbia. The project aims at building capacities of the targeted Western Balkans universities to research EU public policies and deliver teaching and training courses for public administration, the business community and civil society organisations.

Venue: Alicante, Spain
During the period September 30 – October 4, 2013 theUniversity of Alicante was host to nine DEPOCEI partner universities and NGO representatives (University of Alicante, University of Belgrade, University of Nis, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, University of Sarajevo, Roehampton University, University of Montenegro, Belgrade Open School and NISPAcee).

In accordance with the meeting agenda, the partner representatives discussed the project activities implemented during the previous period of the project. In June 2013 the policy areas for the development of future training courses were selected. At the same time the following teams were identified for the policy discussions and their Chairs:

Topic: General Part, Instituting decision-making, Chair: NISPAcee
Prior to the workshop all Chairs summarised the inputs from their team members and prepared drafts of future training curricula on selected topics.
During the first part of the workshop, the drafts were presented to all participating DEPOCEI representatives and discussed.
During the second part, the individual teams on identified policy areas worked in groups and agreed the next strategy in the development of their training programmes. These were presented and discussed in the auditorium at the end of the second part.
During the third part, the DEPOCEI representatives began to prepare for the next planned activities, namely for the Workshop on Development of Content and Methodology of Training Courses, which will be held in Portugal, and the publishing of the semi-annual set of brochures with brief information on selected EU PPs.
The workshop ended with a DEPOCEI Steering Committee meeting, where Ms. Elena Zakova, NISPAcee Project Manager, participated as a DEPOCEI Steering Committee member.
NISPAcee was also represented at the workshop by two NISPAcee Project Experts, Mr. Gyorgy Gajduschek from Hungary and Mr. Alfredas Chmieliauskas from Lithuania.
