24 authors of the best papers from different research areas dealing with the post-communist trends in Central and Eastern Europe selected by the jury will have an opportunity to present and discuss their papers in 8 panels under the supervision of 8 distinguished Senior Academics. The main goals of the Conference are: Promotion of inter-disciplinary dialogue between young scientists in Central and Eastern Europe; Promotion of discussions on public interest in different research areas at the level of EU and national policies; Promoting mobility and productive confrontation of PhD students from countries of Central Eastern and Western Europe; Establishing an effective knowledge based network; Publishing the collection of all contributions in electronic form; Publishing the best papers selected by Senior-Academics in print form. Selected conference papers dealing with the matters of Central and Eastern Europe will be published in the special issues of SEER and emec on. ETUI strongly encourages the participants to apply for a three month traineeship dealing with labour environment issues from European perspective.
