This Leadership and Municipal Management course answers questions like: How do you develop a vision for your municipality and make it reality? How can you involve different stakeholders? And how can you manage your administration effectively? Topics that will be addressed are the development of organisational and human resources and the use of financial management systems, planning arrangements, evaluation tools and performance based management. During interactive sessions you will learn about the Leadership Benchmark as a comprehensive tool for improving leadership in local government.

This course will help you:
- develop and implement a clear and inspiring vision;
- mobilise relevant stakeholders, including national and regional governments, international organisations and local NGOs and citizens;
- provide leadership for your civil servants;
- improve management structures in your organisation in the field of finances, information and communication, human resources and accountability.
