The International Public Management Institute is an executive and intensive training course and discussion forum for current and eventual administration leaders from the Baltic States, the CIS countries, as well as other nations from Central and Eastern Europe. The Institute is a unique opportunity for senior public administrators to have access to leading speakers and experts in public management from all around the globe. The events have been highly rated by participants and have been promoted as modern standards of governance, facilitating the cooperation not only amongst the institutions of one country but between countries on an international level.
The Institute will include themes like:
- Planning systems,
- Strategic planning methods,
- Budgeting,
- Current trends in NDPs,
- Technical difficulties associated with the writing of a NDP, and
- Overlook of the difference between small scale and large scale planning from regional to national level with a special focus on the EU requirements for NDPs.
The target audience of the International Public Management Institute is middle and upper level managers from government and NGO’s from the Baltic States, EU, the CIS countries, and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Up to 70 participants are expected to attend the event.
Participants must satisfy the following selection criteria:
• Work experience in public administration institutions at the central level;
• Involved in policy planning;
• Occupy mid or upper level position in their institution;
• Good working knowledge of English;
• Strong motivation.
