European Association for Public Administration Accreditation

Membership

NISPAcee membership encompasses Member Institutions, Associate Members and Governmental membership. Individuals can apply for individual membership.
 
Institutional Members: membership in NISPAcee shall be open to appropriately designated academic units within larger educational institutions (eg colleges, schools, divisions, departments, programmes, units, centres, institutes, faculties), to independent educational and training institutions and independent non-profit research institutions (e.g. think-tanks) in the NISPAcee region.

Associate Members: associate membership shall be open academic degree­granting institutions, agencies of government, corporations, foundations, professional associations, academic institutions offering diplomas or certificates, independent research or training organizations outside of the NISPAcee region, and other non­academic organizations, and international organizations that subscribe to the purpose of NISPAcee.
 
Principal Representative: each institutional and associate member shall designate a Principal Representative who will be its primary channel of communication to and from NISPAcee and who will be responsible for facilitating participation in NISPAcee activities by other personnel from the member institution.
 

Governmental membership: shall be open to governmental institutions and agencies other than educational and training ones that subscribe to the purpose of NISPAcee.

 
Individual Members: participation is open to professionals mainly involved in teaching, research, training and practice in public management and administration.  
 
 

Honorary membership: shall be open to the recipients of the Alena Brunovska Award for Teaching Excellence in Public Administration, former NISPAcee Presidents and Executive Directors. Honorary members will enjoy the benfits of the Individual  Members without paying the membership dues.

 
 

NISPAcee region:

1. New EU member countries (Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia)

2. Non EU member countries in Eastern Europe (Belarus, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Turkey)

3. Countries in the West Balkans (Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro)

4. Countries of Central Asia (Kazkhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan)

5. Countries in the Caucasus (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan)


Benefits of Institutional Members:

    receive copies of all NISPAcee publications free of charge;

    access to the NISPAcee publications' e-database;

    the right to use the NISPAcee membership logo on the member's website;

    apply for EAPAA Accreditation services;

    participate in Annual Conferences and other activities at a reduced rate;

    contribute to NISPAcee publications;

    participate in the NISPAcee General Assembly;

    vote on all NISPAcee matters, elect the members of the Steering Committee and confimr NISPAcee policy;

    nominate candidates from your own institution for the Steering Committee;

    initiate new projects and activities;

    utilize the capacities of all other NISPAcee members (associate, governmental and individual) for advisory, consultancy services and

    joint activities and projects;

    utilize NISPAcee database service;

    maintain and publish your own data on the NISPAcee web page;

    receive all NISPAcee circulars;

    be an active part of the prominent international public administration

    and policy community.

 
Benefits of Associate Members:

1. Access to information, knowledge and networking opportunities:

receive copies of all NISPAcee publications free of charge;

access to the NISPAcee publications' e-database;

 the right to use the NISPAcee membership logo on the member's website;

participate in Annual Conferences and other activities at a reduced rate;

contribute to NISPAcee publications;

utilize the NISPAcee databases and distribution services;

maintain and publish own data and information on the NISPAcee web page;

receive all NISPAcee circulars;

utilize the capacities of all other NISPAcee members (institutional, governmental

and individual) for advisory, consultancy services and joint activities.

 

2. Special opportunities:

develop within NISPAcee a special community of academics and practitioners

interested in innovations, experience sharing and learning from each other;

direct access to the information and knowledge experience learned during

transition processes in the countries in the NISPAcee region;

propose new activities of interest for the benefit of academics

and practitioners e.g. high level meetings, roundtables, workshops, trainings,

study tours, applied research, policy papers, etc.;

be an active part of the prominent international public administration

and policy community.


Benefits of Governmental Members:

1. Access to information, knowledge and networking opportunities:

receive copies of all NISPAcee publications free of charge;

access to the NISPAcee publications' e-database;

the right to use the NISPAcee membership logo on the member's website;

participate in Annual Conferences and other activities at a reduced rate;

contribute to NISPAcee publications;

utilize the NISPAcee databases and distribution services;

maintain and publish own data and information on the NISPAcee web page;

receive all NISPAcee circulars;

utilize capacities of all other NISPAcee members (institutional, associate

and individual) for advisory, consultancy services and joint activities.

2. Special opportunities:

in innovations, experience sharing and learning from each other, but

academia as well;

propose new activities of interest for the benefit of practitioners e.g.

high level meetings, roundtables, workshops, trainings, study tours,

applied research, policy papers, etc.;

be an active part of the prominent international public administration

and policy community.

 
Benefits of Individual Members:

free-of-charge, selected by you, 2 titles of NISPAcee publications per year;

access to the NISPAcee publications' e-database;

the right to use the NISPAcee membership logo on the member's website;

enjoy reduced fees to NISPAcee conferences and other activities;

promote your research and findings via NISPAcee conferences, workshops,

and publications;

utilize the NISPAcee database service;

maintain and publish your own data on the NISPAcee web page;

include yourself in the database of experts and be involved in the NISPAcee

projects and activities;

initiate new projects and activities and be preferably included in project

activities as an expert;

receive all NISPAcee circulars;

be an active part of the prominent international public administration

and policy community.

 
 

Benefits are valid only for those members who pay the membership fees.


Eligibility for membership: decision on the eligibility of particular applicants for any category of membership shall be made by the Steering Committee. Acceptance will be contingent on candidates completing an application form and apying dues.

 

A membership may be canceled by the written request of a member, or if a member does not fulfill the duties of membership. The Steering Committee may terminate the membership of particular member for non-conformity with the requirements and duties of membership, including the payment of dues (no payment in two consecutive years).

Dues

In accordance with the by-laws NISPAcee dues for membership for a calendar year are:

Institutional membership
- new member states of EU and Turkey : 350 EUR
- others: 300 EUR

Institutional members can apply for the EAPAA accreditation services. The additional fees for these services are 300 EUR.

Associate membership: 350 EUR
Governmental membership: 1 000 EUR

Individual Members:
- in the NISPAcee region: 75 EUR
- outside of the NISPAcee region:  100 EUR

The dues could be changed by a resolution of the General Assembly.
