A PhD seminar is scheduled to take place on November 3, 2016.
Contributions are welcome on a variety of aspects pertaining to public administration and management, including financial management of local communities, strategic planning, urban affairs, service delivery, public procurement, corruption in local government, etc. A more detailed presentation of the overall conference topic is to be found under the section Scientific conference 4th-5th November 2016.
The participation of early career scholars and postgraduate research researchers is positively encouraged. PhD students attending the PhD seminar will not be charged the conference fee if they are interested in attending the conference sessions.
In order to help plan the conference and ensure the involvement and participation of the regional and global public administration community, several committees have been set up. An International Scientific Committee, chaired by prof. Roger Hamlin, Michigan State University, US has been established, and a Local Organizing Committee, supported by an Advisory Group of academics and researchers in public administration drawn from across Romania and other CEE countries, is overseeing the running of the Conference.
The general deadline for registration is October 10 2016. Please check specific deadlines and registration requirements for each of the sections of the conference. A draft program will be published by mid-October 2016.
The Conference will include a full range of academic themed presentations, plenary lectures, and social events. The conference will include three distinct sections: PhD seminar, workshop for practitioners and a scientific conference.
