Presenter Rozdon Mukhitdinov Abstract In this paper the coordination of innovation system policy of Uzbekistan is reviewed and evaluated. The coordination requires integration, digitalization and sharing of information across departments and sectors. Uzbekistan was ranked among the top innovative economies in Central and South Asia, behind India and Iran, according to the Global Innovation Index 2022 which produced by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Considering that Uzbekistan produces less innovation outputs relative to its level of innovation investments, there is a positive impact of coordination on the development of innovation in the country. The contributions in this article discuss three main questions: (1) Has the system of coordination been successfully implemented in the innovation policy of Uzbekistan? (2) Does the development of communications contribute to the reduction of barriers and a more effective innovation policy in Uzbekistan? (3) What lessons can we learn from the experience of Uzbekistan and can this experience be used by other countries? In answering these questions, the article describes the changes in the innovation policy coordination system, analyzes data from authoritative open sources for the period from 2014 to 2021, and evaluates the impact of various factors on the economic and innovative development of Uzbekistan using regression analysis.
