Dear colleagues, Welcome to the 31st NISPAcee Annual Conference "The future of public administration enabled through emerging technologies"taking place on 25-27 May in Belgrade, Serbia! In order to make your stay more comfortable, we have prepared some practical tips you might find useful. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (Serbian: Аеродром НиколаТесла Београд /Aerodrom Nikola Tesla Beograd) is the onlyinternational airport in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the largest and thebusiest airport in Serbia, situated 18 km (11 mi) west of downtownBelgrade ( Google maps Belgrade Airport - http://tiny.cc/jvo3vz). There are several public transportation options from BelgradeAirport to the city center (15-20 minutes by taxi, 30-45 minutes by bus lines).

Public transportation in Belgrade

By tram or bus – Belgrade’s public transportation network takes you almost everywhere. Belgrade Public Transport, GSP, is responsible for buses and trams. You can plan your journey and read more information at GSP’s webpage or using Google Maps (shorturl.at/dlOT4).

Taxi in Serbia


Belgrade taxi tariffs are published in the official tariff ordinance.They are valid for all taxi companies driving in the downtown area and may not be exceeded or undercut. This is ensured by officially calibrated taximetres installed in the vehicles. Of course, potential passengers should always watch out for unlicensed drivers as they may not have or set taxi metres in their vehicles. The price of a Belgrade cab depends on several factors. These are the route to be travelled, the journey time and of course, traffic conditions.
Generally speaking, these are the applicable fares for a taxi in Belgrade:
Day fares (from 06:00 till 22:00)
Base tariff: 164 дин (€1.40)
Price per kilometre: 58 дин (€0.50)
Night fares (from 22:00 till 06:00, on Sundays and holidays)
Base tariff: 164 дин (€1.40)
Price per kilometre: 82 дин (€0.70)

Serbian tap water is of the highest quality and can be consumed safely throughout the country. Bottled mineral and spring water is available in shops and restaurants.
