Presenter Abstract The main goal of the article is to discuss the concept of green budgeting. As the literature has been limited, it allows an in-depth analysis of the most important scientific articles and other topic related documents which explain the evolution of the concept. Analysis is based on a Scopus database search queries of green budgeting and other related terms, while Biblioshiny application was used for bibliometric analysis. Results indicate that yearly scientific publication growth of green budgeting was 23.3% in the analyzed period (2008-2021) with substantial increase after One Planet Summit in 2017, at which OECD launched the Paris Collaborative on Green Budgeting. Results also demonstrate that the focus of analyzed literature covers topics as sustainable development, environmental impact assessment and development strategic planning. Experiences from countries that have implemented the concept point out the pros and cons, indicators and measures used, as well as prerequisites for successful implementation. The theoretical and methodological framework constructed in this paper can serve as the basis for implementing the concept of green budgeting in developed countries in the EU, and beyond.
