o Highlights on the 2030 Agenda

o The transformational nature of SDGs

o The need to mobilize a whole society for implementation of sustainable development

o Political will and congruence between global and national development agendas as preconditions of success

o Criticality of public administration for the success of sustainable development

o The need for strong, inclusive and transparent public sector institutions and capable civil servants equipped with knowledge, mindset and practical tools to carry out sustainable development

o Universal effect of SDG 16 on all other SDGs

o The need to educate entire society about SDGs and specific attention to build SDG awareness and mindset among national public administrations

o The role of schools and institutes of public management and administration in developing human resource capacity for sustainable development

o DPIDG initiative on “Working with public administration schools to include SDG friendly curriculum in their teachings
 Africa task force
 Training modules on transformational leadership, conflict prevention and innovations for sustainable development
 Project proposal for Central Asia and Afghanistan
 Other achievements (University of Exeter is accrediting Transformational Leadership Training, University of Southern California and Columbia University are also considering the same) In Ethiopia, the Kotebe Metropolitan University has created the KMU-Addis Center for Sustainable Development.
