Entry requirements for master’s program: Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a five-year university programme in any area.

Entry requirements for bachelor’s programme: Secondary education.

Entry requirements for master’s programme: Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a five-year university programme in any area.

Minimum Number of Years 4 years 2 years Four years to obtain a bachelor’s degree and two years to obtain a master’s degree.

Specialisation in the RDA bachelor’s sub-programme starts in the third year of study.

Four years to obtain a bachelor’s degree and two years to obtain a master’s degree

 

It should be noted that, in Latvia, public administration programmes are predominantly managerial at present, with the exception of one programme of the Latvian University of Agriculture, which has a sociological foundation. The managerial orientation of academic programmes in public administration puts Latvia closer to the British and American tradition, rather than to the Central European (legal) or the Northern European (political or other social science) traditions.
