Health care is one of the most frequently discussed and reformed public service branches. Almost all countries, including those in the CEE region, attempt to improve the delivery of health services with more or less success.
This panel will be organised in cooperation with the Research Committee “Comparative Health Policy” of the International Political Science Association (its regular regional meeting). The main goal of the Panel is to discuss processes and outcomes of health reforms in CEE region, including explanations for successes and failures. The papers on this topic shall reflect the annexed research outline and reach quality of final draft of the chapter of our planned academic book. Papers focusing on other health service delivery issues are also welcome.
During the 2009 panel on “Health Care, Health Reforms and Their Implementation” at the NISPAcee conference in Budva, a protocol for research on health care reforms in the CEE was drafted. Over the following two years selected researchers from the CEE region are expected to draft country studies according to the Protocol.
