EAPAA Panel - European Association for Public Administration Accreditation

Place: 26th NISPAcee Annual Conference, Iasi, Romania
Date:  May 24-26, 2018

Taco Brandsen, EAPAA (European Association for Public Administration Accreditation), Enschede, The Netherlands
Juraj Nemec, EAPAA Board member, former member of the EAPAA Accreditation Committee, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic

In the EAPAA Panel, participants were informed about EAPAA’s activities. After a general introduction about the procedures for accreditation and certification, the speakers discussed strategic issues related to accreditation, such as the management of PA programmes, including the internationalisation of the programmes and their staff, structural changes of curricula (national versus international) and the effects of new technologies on PA teaching. Opportunities for an acceptation of the EAPAA accreditation by national accreditation bodies were also reviewed. There were about 25 participants.
