Presenter Abstract This paper demonstrates the methodology used for eGovernment development benchmarking, in a manner that allows evaluation of the degree of progress in relation to the Southeast Europe countries and comparisons with EU member state. Methodology developed by the company Cappgemini, for the European Commission, has been used for the collection of data and analysis. The paper illustrates how this methodology can be applied to the current situation in the field of eGovernment in the Republic of Serbia. The results clearly indicate that although the overall sophistication of electronic government services shows a trend of increase over the previous years, the Republic of Serbia is still lagging behind in the development of electronic government services in comparison with EU member states, and countries of the region.
