Presenter Abstract The Polish legal system is a system comprising administrative proceedings codified by a principal legislative act of June 14, 1960, i.e. the code of administrative proceedings. One of the latest amendments to the code enables delivery of an administrative decision via electronic mail. The above concerns not only administrative decisions, but also any other administrative acts, certificates or issues resolved by motion and accusatorial procedures. It is worth emphasizing that a participant of an administrative proceeding may be a person using their electronic signature, obtainment of which is costly and complicated, as well as a person owning so called trusted ePUAP profile (electronic platform for public administration services). The profile is to be less expensive and easier to obtain. Since the amended provisions of the code allow administrative proceedings in the form of an electronic document, it is obvious that a participant may initiate proceedings in this form as well. The aim of the aforementioned legal solutions is to simplify administrative proceedings, but, simultaneously, implementation of these solutions should be done in accordance with all the legal rules and general principles that apply to administrative proceedings. In this paper I shall analyse Polish legislative solutions within the scope of enabling authorities to deliver documents via electronic mail. I would also like to present some practical examples of application of these solutions by several organizational units and to point out their adjustment to tasks appointed by legislator. Furthermore, the aforementioned legislative solutions shall be duly anatomized in the context of general principles of administrative proceedings.
