Abstract

The paper is intended as an exploratory needs analysis of staff training of public institutions in North-West Region of Romania. Based on a survey conducted among public institutions in the North West region of Romania (the region includes 6 counties in the North-West part of Romania), the present study attempts not only to highlight the main elements and factors impacting on the training needs and training systems in these public institutions, but also to outline the real image of the training process and its development needs. Also this study will show that one of the main objectives of the annual performance measurement of public civil servants is to identify their training needs.
