Presenter Abstract According to public opinion survey from November 2007, 45 per cent of respondents of the Slovak republic believe that the most effective tool to combat corruption at local level is releasing all information about activities of municipalities. Good information policy of municipalities is thus a crucial anticorruption tool. The municipal websites are the simplest way how to inform citizens on activities of municipalities. They can serve as a database of relevant information on activities of municipalities. Laws, especially law No. 211/2000 zb. On freedom access to information state catalogue of information municipalities are obliged to release on their websites. But municipalities may also release other information with strong anticorruption effect. Study will search municipal websites twofold: firstly, we will search if municipalities release all information laws oblige them. Secondly, we will search what other information with strong anticorruption effect municipalities release, if their website contains e.g.: e-version of official desk, urban plan, information on public procurement, information on real estate policy, minutes from session of advisory bodies of mayor and municipality councils etc.
