Neamt fortress – an important military and historical attraction built in 14th Century that survived the siege of Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople. We will take a stroll up the hill and enjoy the beautiful view offered from this impressive fort. Located at 480 m altitude and named after the nearby river Neamt, the fortress had a strategic position for defending the territory of Moldavia.
17:30- 18:00 – Walk into the medieval orthodox church of Neamț
A jewel of 15th-century architecture, the church was built during Voivode Ştefan cel Mare's reign, in 1497. The fasade of the church is covered with the decoration characteristic of those times: Gothic windows and friezes with enameled disks, colored in green, yellow and brown and the interior features mystical – dark atmosphere of the medieval Moldavia.

Witness their vivid tapestry of old customs, handicrafts and folklore by visiting the Nicolae Popa Museum. The museum was founded in the ‘70s by the local sculptor Nicolae Popa, in his own house and features an impressive collection of masks and ritual costumes used during the Winter Festival in Romania.
