Sightseeing tour from Iasi to Neamț County
 
14:00 Departure by buses from Iasi
You will meet with your guide and enjoy a day trip to one of the most beautiful and best preserved rural regions in the country.

14:45-15:15 Photo break at the garden of Ruginoasa Palace
The palace, which today houses the memorial museum "Alexandru Ioan Cuza”, was built in Neogothic style during the first decade of the nineteenth century after the plans of  Viennese architect Johan Freywald.

16:00-17:00 Visit of Neamț Citadel
Neamt fortress – an important military and historical attraction built in 14th Century that survived the siege of Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople. We will take a stroll up the hill and enjoy the beautiful view offered from this impressive fort. Located at 480 m altitude and named after the nearby river Neamt, the fortress had a strategic position for defending the territory of Moldavia.
In case of a strong rain the visit of citadel can be cancelled.

17:30- 18:00 – Walk into the medieval orthodox church of Neamț
A jewel of 15th-century architecture, the church was built during Voivode Ştefan cel Mare's reign, in 1497. The fasade of the church is covered with the decoration characteristic of those times: Gothic windows and friezes with enameled disks, colored in green, yellow and brown and the interior features mystical – dark atmosphere of the medieval Moldavia.

18:30- 19:00 - Experience the Folk Art and Mask Museum
Witness their vivid tapestry of old customs, handicrafts and folklore by visiting the Nicolae Popa Museum. The museum was founded in the ‘70s by the local sculptor Nicolae Popa, in his own house and features an impressive collection of masks and ritual costumes used during the Winter Festival in Romania.

 
 
 
19:30 - Dinner in a traditional Romanian Inn / Turkish Auberge „Hanu Ancuței”
The dinner will feature a traditional food experience, accompanied by local Moldavian music „taraf” (band).

22:00 - 22:30 Expected arrival to Iași

Price includes water bottle in the bus, entrance fees, professional English-speaking tour guide and dinner in a traditional Romanian Inn (3 courses with a glass of wine and water).
