AIRPORT(s) - how to get to the hotel

BUS

For those who want to get by bus from Baneasa International Airport or Otopeni International Airport to Hotel Parc, we have some useful hints:

• To get to Hotel Parc you have to switch buses in Piata Presei Libere

• BANEASA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
You may take buses No. 131 or No. 335 or express 785 to the bus station Free Press Market (Piata Presei Libere), the next bus station.
From there you switch with bus No. 331 to Hotel Parc.

• OTOPENI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Express 783 is connecting Bucharest Otopeni International Airport with Piata Presei Libere(Free Press Market). The are two stops:
- BANEASA Airport;
- Piata Presei Libere, where you switch buses, taking No. 131 or No. 335 to Hotel Parc

Airport stops: in front of ARRIVALS /DEPARTURES Terminal.
Cost: 25.000 lei (~1 USD)- magnetic card / two trips. The cards can be purchased from the kiosk located in front of the ARRIVALS Terminal, open daily 06:00 - 20:30

Express 783 schedule:
Monday - Friday 5:30 - 23:40 (at every 15 min)
Saturday, Sunday, Legal Holidays 5:30 - 23:30 (at every 30 min)

TAXI

Available in front of the ARRIVALS Terminal.
Avoid cabs which not display the price and have no meters.
For any complaints please contact Transport Police dialling 3242 from the phones at the info desk inside the airport.

In the way of getting to the hotel by taxi you may take from the Railway Station or Baneasa Airport or Otopeni Airport the following taxi companies:

Cobalcescu, Taxi 2000, Cristaxi, Proftaxi, Rodel, Apolodor, Total.

Warning! Do not take any other taxi companies (especially cabs which not display the price and have no meters), because they might be pirate companies. Watch for the cab driver to push the meters on starting tariff!

By bus:
the express No.785 costs 25.000lei(ROL) ~ 1 USD* ~ 1 EUR*
other buses (No.331, No.131, No.335 ) costs 14.000lei(ROL) ~ 50 cents*

By taxi:
• from Otopeni International Airport to Hotel Parc
   should cost 10 USD*, ~10 EUR*

• from Baneasa International Airport to Hotel Parc
   should cost 8 USD*, ~ 8 EUR*

• from the Railway Station to Hotel Parc
   should cost 6 USD* ~ 6 EUR*

NOTE:

* Prices were estimated at the following exchange rate
   on January 21, 2003:
   1 USD= 33.599 lei (ROL)
   1 EUR= 35.361 lei (ROL)

Please use the local transport bus system, the bus station is situated outside of the Railway Station.
Once getting there, you need to buy 2 tickets (total value 12 000 LEI or the equivalent: less than half EURO or $; One ticket per bus)

Advise: if you intend to return by train buy 4 tickets in advance.

From there only buses No. 205 and No. 105 can take you to Piata Presei Libere (Free Press Market) where you have to get off, switch into the bus No. 331 to the Best Western Parc Hotel and Turist (only two bus stations).
