NISPAcee Membership
NISPAcee membership encompasses
Member Institutions, Associate Members and Governmental membership. Individuals
can apply for individual membership.
Institutional Members: membership in NISPAcee shall be open to appropriately
designated academic units within larger educational institutions (eg colleges,
schools, divisions, departments, programmes, units, centres, institutes,
faculties), to independent educational and training institutions and
independent non-profit research institutions (e.g. think-tanks) inthe NISPAcee region.
Associate Members: associate membership shall be open academic degreeĀgranting
institutions, agencies of government, corporations, foundations, professional
associations, academic institutions offering diplomas or certificates, independent
research or training organizations outside of the NISPAcee region,
and other nonĀacademic organizations, and international organizations that
subscribe to the purpose of NISPAcee.
Principal Representative: each institutional and associate member shall designate a
Principal Representative who will be its primary channel of communication to
and from NISPAcee and who will be responsible for facilitating participation in
NISPAcee activities by other personnel from the member institution.
Governmental membership: shall be open to governmental institutions and agencies
other than educational and training ones that subscribe to the purpose of
NISPAcee.
Individual Members: participation is open to professionals mainly involved in
teaching, research, training and practice in public management and
administration.
Honorary membership: shall be open to the recipients of the Alena Brunovska Award for Teaching Excellence in Public Administration, former NISPAcee Presidents and Executive Directors. Honorary members will enjoy the
benfits of the Individual Members without paying the membership dues.
NISPAcee region:
1. New EU member countries (Czech
Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland,
Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia)
2. Non EU member countries in
Eastern Europe (Belarus, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation,
Turkey)
3. Countries in the West Balkans
(Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro)
4. Countries of Central Asia
(Kazkhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan)
5. Countries in the Caucasus
(Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan)
Eligibility for membership: decision
on the eligibility of particular applicants for any category of membership
shall be made by the Steering Committee. Acceptance will be contingent on
candidates completing an application form and apying dues.
A membership may be canceled by the written
request of a member, or if a member does not fulfill the duties of membership.
The Steering Committee may terminate the membership of particular member for
non-conformity with the requirements and duties of membership, including the
payment of dues (no payment in two consecutive years).
