The Working Group focuses on
those interested in public administration education because they are in charge
of public administration programmes, manage public administration departments
or like to share experiences with public administration teaching.
For the paper sessions we
are inviting papers dealing with curriculum development, curriculum technology,
e-learning, teaching technology, education best practices, research on
education, quality assurance, and modern management of public administration
programmes.
For the 2016 Conference the
coordinators will propose a special focus on strategic issues related to the development
of public administration programmes in Europe and the US.
In line with NISPAcee
requirements, all papers should also include a recommendation or practical
points for practitioners - in this case, your colleagues teaching Public
Administration.
One sessions of the WG will be organized as the Dean's Panel:
Dean’s panel
(organised by the European Association for Public
Administration Accreditation in collaboration with the PA Teaching Working
Group)
The constant modernisation and evaluation of PA/PM
educational programmes are a prime concern of all who are responsible for
managing these programmes. On the panel we will discuss key issues in the
management of PA programmes, including the internationalisation of the
programmes and their staff, structural changes of curricula (national versus
international) and the effects of new technologies on PA teaching. The panel
follows up on issues discussed at the plenary on Thursday morning.
In addition to the deans and heads of programmes, we
invite everyone who is interested in the development of the programmes, their
quality management and evaluation.
Speakers:
Calin Hintea, Babeş – Bolyai University, Cluj
Tiina Randma, Talinn University of Technology
Taco Brandsen, European Association for Public
Administration Accreditation
