OECD Global Network of Schools of Government
Invitation to participate in the online Network Platform and a Survey
Within the framework of the collaboration between the Network of
Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe
(NISPAcee) and the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development, the
NISPAcee has recently joined the OECD Network of Schools of Government. The
purpose of the Network (http://www.oecd.org/gov/global-network-schools-of-government.htm) is to give all its members a unique opportunity to
interact and share their experiences with other schools of government around
the world. This is made possible via a recently created online Platform https://community.oecd.org/community/network_schools_government,
where members of the Network can consult exclusive OECD documentation, post
their own materials, discuss topics of common interest with other members and
identify potential partners for future projects. To access the Platform, please
consult the attached document: Clearspace Quick User Guide
In addition, the OECD is currently conducting a Survey of Schools of
Government to compile information about the practices and functions of
schools of government around the world. The results of this survey will form
the basis of an OECD Report on Schools of Government, which will provide unique
comparative benchmarks on the state of civil service training and development
across the globe. The survey results will also contribute to other work, such
as the OECD Skills Strategy. We encourage you to participate in this
Survey which will provide a unique opportunity to contribute to the development
of an international agenda in this area, and facilitate the exchange of good
practices and lessons learned among the schools. You may access the
survey here: https://webnet.oecd.org/Survey/Survey.aspx?s=dd4a1882e7f14840aff7b684b4bc6b66. To obtain your individualised password, please contact
Makeda Yohannes at the OECD (Makeda.yohannes@oecd.org). The deadline for completing the Survey is 15 March
2015.
We would also be pleased to inform you about the future meetings of the
network, which aim to promote dialogue among the schools and policy-makers, as
well as to narrow the gap between international policy dialogue and capacities
on the ground. Information about the previous meetings is available on the
Platform.
