NISPAcee participation in new OECD Initiatives
The OECD Network of Schools of Government was launched
in February 2014 during the OECD meeting on Open Government in Caserta, Italy.
Ludmila Gajdosova, NISPAcee’s Executive Director, participated in this meeting
as both the IASIA Vice President and NISPAcee representative. She was invited
to participate in the Steering Committee of this new initiative as NISPAcee’s
representative.
This event
brought together representatives of national schools of public administration
and other training and research institutions, policy-makers, international,
regional and national associations of schools of public administration, the
OECD secretariat, and other stakeholders. In addition to the discussion on
building capacities in open government, the meeting provided an opportunity to
shape the next steps in the partnership of the OECD and National Schools of
Public Administration and led to the establishment of the new OECD Network.

Open Government Summary
At
present, OECD is preparing a conference on ‘Innovating the Public Sector: from Ideas to Impact’ on 12-13
November, 2014 at the OECD in Paris. The conferencewill bring
together public sector practitioners, researchers, civil society and businesses
to share experiences and learn about how innovation is changing how the public
sector is working to solve today’s complex challenges. Schools
of government play an important role in the debate on how to develop the administrative
capabilities for innovation and would provide interesting contributions to the discussions. You can find more
