Feedback from NISPAcee Intern
Ana-Diana Negoita, National
University of Political Studies and Public Administration Bucharest, Romania:
When I speak about my experience with NISPAcee, I have a smile on my face. For each of the almost 3 months working there I felt like I was at home. It was one of the best internships I have participated in. I felt blessed being surrounded by very friendly people who helped me to develop both personally and professionally. I want to thank NISPAcee for this great opportunity and would highly recommend it to anyone who is given the chance! Good luck in the future with all your projects and conferences!!
NISPAcee is like a family to me!

The NISPAcee Journal of Public Administration and Policy Volume XII, Number 2, Winter 2019/2020
Editor(s): Juraj Nemec
ISSN: 1337-9038
Price: 30 €
|
NISPAcee launched the NISPAcee Journal of Public Administration and Policy in 2008. Our journal is predominantly devoted to public administration, public policy and public governance issues in Central and Eastern Europe, but high-level submissions from any other part of the world are also considered, especially if they focus on the issues relevant for the NISPAcee region. Our goal is to publish top quality papers based on empirical research (of qualitative, quantitative or mixed character), theoretical articles and literature reviews developing general public administration, public policy and public governance theory, or their specific dimensions. Book reviews are also welcome.

A Primer on Policy Communication in Kazakhstan

Publisher: Palgrave Pivot, Singapore
ISBN: 978-981-15-0609-3
Price: 42 €

This book is a timely publication to address the issue of the government’s policy execution capabilities. The crux of policy execution is communication to win the hearts and minds of the people, particularly with regard to complex policies. The book is written as a work manual based on international policy communication best practices and principles, interwoven with case studies from Kazakhstan, applicable in other Central Asian countries as well. The book’s wide range of topics cover media management in a technologically-savvy society, marketing of complexity, planning successful campaigns, soft power management given the country’s aspirations for greater international standing, and forward-looking advice on crisis management and shareholder communication. This is a highly relevant book for the civil service, civic organisations, commercial entities, policy researchers, and international organisations working in or planning to work in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.
