The panel was chaired by Daniel Klimovský, Comenius University, Slovakia, NISPAcee Steering Committee members and co-chaired by Ludmila Gajdosova, NISPAcee Executive Director.
The main goal of this panel was to discuss various administrative and democratic issues linked to the CEE region from the perspective of their recent development, the present states, or future challenges.
NISPAcee deeply mourns the loss of two esteemed colleagues who profoundly shaped our community and the field of public administration. Both belonged to the founding figures and supporters of NISPAcee in its early years.
† László Váradi, a former member of the NISPAcee Steering Committee (1995–2001) and President of NISPAcee (1997–2000) while actively serving at Corvinus University of Budapest, passed away in Novemebr 2024. His leadership and dedication left an enduring legacy in NISPAcee.
† Jak Jabes, a former Steering Committee Advisor (1994–2000), representative of SIGMA/OECD in Paris, France, passed away on December 15, 2024. His impactful work fostered collaboration and excellence in public administration across the region.
We honour their memory and celebrate their lasting contributions to our shared mission.
It is with profound sorrow that NISPAcee marks the passing of our cherished colleague and lifelong partner, †Dr. Fabienne Maron, on December 30, 2024. She belonged to the main actors of EGPA and IIAS, the main partners of NISPAcee.
Fabienne Maron was deeply admired for her professionalism and her remarkable ability to provide exemplary service to the IIAS and EGPA communities. She was always ready to engage with partners in a spirit of mutual respect and fruitful cooperation. Her kindness, support, and dedication touched the lives of all who had the privilege of working with her.
We honor her memory and the lasting impact she has had on our community.
The NISPAcee Steering Committee, Chaired by Eka Akobia, reviewed the past as well as planned activities of NISPAcee and decided on all relevant issues. The Steering Committee invites all of you to the 33rd Annual NISPAcee Conference.
