The UN Public Administration Network (UNPAN) is a powerful internet-based network for the UN Member States for the exchange of information and experience in public administration. UNPAN has over 30 Partner institutions including NISPAcee. Juraj Nemec, member of the UN CEPA, NISPAcee Steering Committee member and Former NISPAcee President, particiated in the meeting and represented NISPAcee at the meeting.May 14, 2024
EAPAA online Board Meeting, March 2024
The online EAPAA (European Association for Public Administration Accreditation) Board meeting was held on March 18, 2024.
Gyorgy Hajnal, Corvinus University, Hungary, Chair of EAPAA (former NISPAcee President) chaired the session. NISPAcee Board members Juraj Nemec, NISPAcee Steering Committee member and Ludmila Gajdosova, NISPAcee Executive Director, participated in the meeting.

NISPAcee Tribute to Allan Rosenbaum, the NISPAcee Merit Award Holder
With great sadness, we share the news that Allan Rosenbaum, our dear friend and close professional partner, passed away on March 17, 2024, following a brief illness. His extraordinary contribution to the NISPAcee development within the first decade of the organization’s existence was recognized by the presentation of the NISPAcee Merit Award to him in 2010. His continual collaborative efforts and commitment to NISPAcee, following its mission, and meeting its objectives were highly beneficial to the organization and participating individuals during the ensuing years. NISPAcee is genuinely thankful for his partnership, friendship and open-minded long-term cooperation. He deserves our respect and recognition for his extensive efforts, leadership, accomplishments, and consistency in believing and promoting democratic values, the implementation of which is still a great challenge in the NISPAcee region. Equally important, what NISPAcee valued, was his outstanding personality, kind human approach, openness, and constant concern for serving the community.March 20, 2024

The Trans-European Dialogue TED2024 Conference on the topic: Digital governance in the age of AI: evolving policies, regulations, and practices was held on 7-8 March 2024, in Dubrovnik, Croatia.It was organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, in cooperation with NISPAcee and EGPA.

NISPAcee Mourns the Loss of its Former President, Gyorgy Jenei
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Former President Gyorgy Jenei, Professor Emeritus and Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, on February 4, 2024. He served in the NISPAcee Steering Committee in 2007 - 2013, and as the NISPAcee President in 2008 - 2010 and 01/2012 – 05/2012. We are mourning the loss of our friend and professional colleague, who made an incredible contribution to the field of public administration and policy. In all his capacities he was also a constant contributor to NISPAcee’s development and helped achieve the organisation’s international recognition not only in the region, but world-wide. NISPAcee representatives Calin Hintea, NISPAcee Immediate Past President and Ludmila Gajdosova, NISPAcee Executive Director participate in the UNDESA/IASIA Task Force appointed for the Review. First online meeting of the Task Force was held on April, 18, 2023.
Europe Regional Workshop on the Review of the Standards of Excellence for Public Administration Education and Training was held online on October 5, 2023. Updated Standards will be published by the end of 2024.

EAPAA Board Meeting and General Meeting 2023

Board and General meetings were held in Zagreb, Croatia within the EGPA Annual Conference 2023 on September 7, 2023. Prof Gyorgy Hajnal, Corvinus University, Hungary (former NISPAcee President) was elected the new Chair of the EAPAA Board. EAPAA Board members representing NISPAcee Juraj Nemec (NISPAcee Steering
Committee member) and Ludmila Gajdosova (NISPAcee Executive Director) participated in the meetings as well.
