(ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet Project PRACTIC)
Chairs:
Veronica Junjan, Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences, University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands
Daniel Klimovský, Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Arts, Department of Political Science
The three interactive sessions covered the following topics:
a) The Role of the Policy Paper ins the Policy Making process;
b) The structure of the Policy Paper, and
c) Types of Policy Papers.
On average, ten participants were involved in each session. Four drafts of potential policy papers were presented, and lively discussions ensued, with particular interest on the differences and similarities between academic papers and the different types of policy papers, as well as to the relationship between one’s function as an academic and as a policy advisor. There was a particular interest towards participating in similar workshops in the future.
The group of participants had equal gender representation and included both academicians and practitioners from all sub-regions of Central and Eastern Europe.
