Project title: PRACTIC - From Policy Design to Policy Practice in the European Integration Context

NISPAcee will organise its 27th Annual Conference, 2019, on the main theme "From Policy Design to Policy Practice” with the aim of exploring these processes through papers which will be based on empirical evidence, which will provide theoretical reflections of these processes, or call attention to examples of best practices and recommendations. Attention will be paid to Policy Design and Policy Practice in the European Integration Context. Special sessions with this focus will be organised under the main conference theme and various research working groups in order to investigate the European Integration impact on policy decision making and implementation and spread European Integration experience worldwide.  This project also aims to an enlargement of traditional stakeholders from academia to practice.

Objectives:
•    To spread and disseminate outcomes of NISPAcee empirical research on Policy Design and Policy Practice in the European Context for fostering EU studies within public administration teaching and training programmes.
•    To spread and disseminate outcomes of NISPAcee empirical research on Policy Design and Policy Practice in the European Context to policy makers in the NMS and the EU for fostering evidence based policy making.
•    To promote discussions and reflection on the European Integration impact on public policy decision-making and implementation, and in this way enhance knowledge about the Union and its processes.
•    To provide a platform for the engagement of public policy experts and policy makers.

Activities:
The 27th NISPAcee Annual Conference with special sessions on Policy Design and Policy Practice in the European Integration Context including:
- Seminar: How to write a good policy paper;
- Capacity Building Workshop for policy experts and policy makers;
- Plenary Roundtable "Evidence-based Policy Making in the European Integration Context".

Outputs:
- Conference proceedings with all research papers presented at the conference for teaching and training in an e-form.
- Special e-Monograph on "From Policy Design to Policy Practice in the European Integration Context”.
- NISPAcee Database of Public Policy Papers (PPP).
- Project website.
