Next year, the WG will seek to explore the link between the right to a fair trial and good governance. Our research activity and the participants’ presentations will address a range of situations of rights abuse and violent conflict/mass protests around the world. By providing public policy recommendations and by focusing on communities that have suffered or face potential human rights abuse, we seek to inform policy makers, train advocates and advance the cause of human rights and global justice. The members of the WG are expected to explore the many notions of justice, the importance and role of justice in conflict prevention as well as the functions of the key players, involved in providing justice.

We invite proposals from graduate students, academics and practitioners in conflict studies and other related disciplines (such as law, human rights, public administration) who can offer perspectives from their empirical research.
