Health care is one of the most frequently discussed and reformed public service branches. Almost all countries, including those in the CEE region, attempt to improve the delivery of health services with more or less success. The objective of the panels is to discuss processes and outcomes of health reforms in CEE region, including explanations for successes and failures. Papers on this topic must reflect the annexed research outline and will serve as a base for the anticipated volume. Comparative papers focusing on related issues of health service delivery are also welcome.

During the 2009 panel on “Health Care, Health Reforms and Their Implementation” at the NISPAcee conference in Budva, a protocol for research on health care reforms in the CEE was drafted. Over the next two years selected researchers from the CEE region are expected to draft country studies according to the Protocol. The end product will be an academic book on the topic.
