Conditions
1. By registering for participation in the NISPAcee Annual Conference, the participant agrees to be bound by and comply with these Terms and Conditions, which are the participant's responsibility to read and understand.
2. The 33rd NISPAcee Annual Conference is being organised as a physical and online conference.
(Online participation/presentation is allowed)
3. Fees and scope of Online participation: The fees for online participation are the same as physical participation. Online participation allows the presentation of a paper in a relevant conference programme session. The fees include access to the session in which the paper is included and the conference e-proceedings.
4. If relevant to the conference dates, adjustments due to a Covid-19 pandemic or similar valid at the time in Slovakia will need to be followed in the event of physical attendance at the conference. Physical participants agree to follow all local Slovak requirements specified by the local organiser due to a pandemic, e.g. safe distance, hand sanitising, wearing of masks indoors, and the like. These requirements will be specified based on the national regulations valid in Slovakia at the time of the conference and will be announced on the conference website.
5. Participants are responsible for arranging adequate insurance for travel and accommodation costs and any other costs related to physical participation at the conference, e.g. visas and the like. In cancelling participation in the conference for any reason, NISPAcee has no liability to reimburse any related costs of participants. In addition, there are Cancellation Conditions applied for conference fees, which are an inseparable part of these Terms and Conditions.
6. Registered participants agree with the Conference Cancellation Conditions by registering for the conference.
9. The Late Online Registration deadline of May 10, 2025, CET 24:00, is possible for participants without papers.
13. Participants' registration for the conference is valid only after payment of the registration fees is received in the NISPAcee account.
14. In the event of non-payment of the conference fee, the participant's registration will be cancelled; the participant will be excluded from the list of participants, and if relevant a related paper/s will be excluded from the conference programme.
15. NISPAcee reserves the right to exclude any registered participant from the conference registration list. The excluded participant will be notified by an e-mail, and the conference fee, if already paid, minus bank charges, will be reimbursed after the conference, upon the participant's written request, with bank details.
16. The participant agrees with the processing of personal data per point 22, to video/sound recording and the taking of photographs during the conference, and agrees with their publishing for reporting or dissemination purposes.
17. Presenter(s)/author(s) of a paper agree with NISPAcee Copyright Policy.
18. In the event of Force Majeure that NISPAcee reasonably believes to be substantial or that is outside NISPAcee's control (Covid-19 pandemics and similar, war, restrictions applied at a national or international level, and the like), NISPAcee reserves the right to change the form, times, dates, the local organiser and location of the conference at any time before the conference date without incurring any liability to participants, except those listed in the Cancellation Conditions.
19. The participant, by accepting these Terms and Conditions, agrees not to hold NISPAcee liable for all or any loss, damage, injury, actions, proceedings or claims arising from any act or omission of the participant during the course of the conference. NISPAcee accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. Slovak legal regulations govern NISPAcee.
20. The Conference programme is subject to change. Participants with accepted papers are obliged to follow conference instructions concerning the format and settled deadline for full-papers delivery. If the participant’s presentation is excluded from the conference programme due to non-compliance with these requirements, it does not affect the participant’s registration for the Conference. If the participant wants to cancel the registration under such circumstances, the Conference Cancellation Conditions will be applied.
21. The participant agrees to their professional contact details being published in the NISPAcee database and the List of Participants. These will be included in conference materials.
22. Consent to the processing and handling of personal data. Per Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force throughout the European Union on May 24, 2016, and has been applicable since May 25, 2018, the participant agrees to the processing and handling of their personal data contained in the NISPAcee database, based in Bratislava, Slovakia, according to the NISPAcee Privacy Policy valid from May 25, 2018. This consent may be revoked in writing at any time by a participant. The scope of personal data processing related to the conference is name, surname, position, title, institution and address, and professional contact – phone number, e-mail, video/sound recordings, and photographs, for publishing, reporting or dissemination purposes.
23. The participant agrees that NISPAcee can use their e-mail address to disseminate information about the conference and future NISPAcee events unless they unsubscribe from the NISPAcee database.
26. The legal regulations of the Slovak Republic shall govern the validity, construction and effect of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any dispute, both sides shall do all that is possible to come to an amicable settlement or – should such a settlement prove impossible – to settle the dispute through a mutually agreed mediation or arbitration procedure. Any unsettled dispute shall be referred to the Slovak court.

7. Participants are responsible for arranging adequate travel, injury and health insurance regarding their participation at the conference. In the event of any injury or illness during the conference, NISPAcee has no liability to participants.
8. The Early Online Registration deadline of April 10, 2025, CET 24:00 is obligatory for all paper holders, coordinators and chairs and voluntary for all other conference participants. In the event of late registration, the related paper may be excluded from the conference programme.9. The Late Online Registration deadline of May 10, 2025, CET 24:00, is possible for participants without papers.
10. After successfully completing registration, please wait for a Verification e-mail.
11. NISPAcee has right to not accept the registration - not verify the registration. Participant whose registration was not verified should not pay the fee. In such case fee will be returned, but without manipulation charge of the bank, which in this case is covered by participant. Participant whose registration was not accepted will not receive invitation nor visa documentation.
12. Payment of the conference fee should be made as soon as possible after receiving the Verification e-mail via bank transfer or a credit card. No cheques or cash payments are accepted.13. Participants' registration for the conference is valid only after payment of the registration fees is received in the NISPAcee account.

24. Presentation of registered participants with accepted papers my occur at any of conference days, in case that participant can not present during the assigned date or time, his registration fee will not be reimbursed.
25. The participant is expected to behave professionally. Excessive use of obscene language, or abusive or threatening behaviour directed to any other conference participant, is not conducive to the conference environment. The participant will be requested to leave the conference in such circumstances.26. The legal regulations of the Slovak Republic shall govern the validity, construction and effect of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any dispute, both sides shall do all that is possible to come to an amicable settlement or – should such a settlement prove impossible – to settle the dispute through a mutually agreed mediation or arbitration procedure.
