The Working Group on Local Government focuses this year on the dynamics between government- and governance-oriented developments at the local level in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. WG tries to understand the transformation of local government in Central and Eastern Europe  and the Commonwealth of Independent States; how new institutions of government and governance are evolving within the public-private and public-public dynamics and what is the role of government and governance-oriented approaches in today’s local government in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
