The Working Group on Local Government focuses this year on the dynamics between
government- and governance-oriented developments at the local level in
Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent
States. WG tries to understand the transformation of local government in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States; how new
institutions of government and governance are evolving within the
public-private and public-public dynamics and what is the role of
government and governance-oriented approaches in today’s local
government in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of
Independent States.
