Abstract  
  		 The dynamics of the modern organizational world is characterized by uncertainty and disruptive change. In this environment organizations are continuously pressured to find novel ways to prepare, adapt and respond to the turbulent environment.
One of the major disruptors in the last two years was the COVID19 Pandemic. Beyond the impact on public health, the pandemic represented a major adaptation chalenge for organizations, in order to keep functioning.
In this context, digital transformation understood as a process of using digital technologies to either modify existing or create create new organizational processes, products or any changes done to meet changing external environment conditions, has been the got o option for many organizations. We can look at these changes as positive externalities - the ”necesity” to transfer to the digital world a series of ”products” in order to keep things going. Specifically, organizationas used technology to bring about internal changes as to function in the new ”environmental conditions”. Our research is focused on exploring the main changes in digital transformation, organizations took because of environmental pressures casued by the COVID19 pandemic, and which of these changes is still maintained today. We used a qualitative approach with a series of case studies on public organizations analysing the process of ”digital change”. The paper highlights the chalenges organizations (in the study) faced in introducing digital change and what are the steps ahead to continue the process.
