Over time, hydrological measurements have been performed in various ways, both manually and automatically, especially in recent years. The role of hydrological measurements is vital in issuing hydrological forecasts and in alerting the authorities and the population in case of potential devastating floods. The frequency of these measurements plays a crucial role in issuing these forecasts, so the need for near real-time data access solutions is a genuine concern. The research proposes developing an API solution developed in Python and the Django (and GeoDjango) web framework. The solution offers the possibility to query the data according to various spatial and temporal parameters and the support for the competent authorities to add the data to the database (PostgreSQL). The proposed methodology applies to similar research solutions and fields (e.g., meteorology)
