Covid pandemic has had severe consequences in every aspect of people’s lives, including how we manage higher education. Quick responses – starting with emergency remote learning to blended education - have transformed the way of teaching. The Ludovika University of Public Service switched from attendance education to remote learning within ten days in 2020. [1]
Teachers’ skills and set of competencies cannot transform Ludovika University of Public Service on such a short notice but marking the two years of experience, the paper's goal is to analyze competence change of university teachers before and after the pandemic. As no survey was conducted before the pandemic, it is a retrospective self-evaluation.
The scope of the questionnaire is university teachers at the Ludovika University of Public Service, Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies. The questionnaire is conducted in spring 2022 in a volunteer form. The main focus points are: before and after pandemic competencies and skills (self-evaluation), change of attitude, workload, used tools (online programs and teaching methods).
Expected results can be used to provide training matching the teachers’ needs – which is in line with the University’s already existing Creative Learning Program, so do its Education Strategy.
