IAUP Semi-Annual Conference

Gold Cost, Australia  / October 14-16, 2015

 

 

On October 14-16, Mr. Kakha Shengelia, NISPAcee Steering Committee member and President of Caucasus University, participated as the elected president of the 'International Association of University Presidents', in the IAUP Semi-Annual Conference. The event was hosted by the Bond University in the Gold Cost, Australia.

 

The Conference covered the following topics: "Meeting the Technology Challenge" and "Forging Successful Partnership". Parallel sessions with the IAUP regional management and the Board of Directors were also held. The sessions were dedicated to a discussion of future planning and organisational performance by IAUP management.

 

The Conference was attended by members of the IAUP Executive Committee, chief advisors, Board of Directors and professors of the Bond University.

 

Mr. Kakha Shengelia was elected President-Elect of the"International Association of University Presidents" (IAUP) for the period 2014-2017 on June 14, 2014. At the next Triennial Conference to be held in July, 2017 in Vienna, he will automatically assume the responsibilities of IAUP President for the period 2017-2020 and lead the organisation during that time.
