During this Summer School, in the first part of the week the main principles of economic integration and regional development and drivers in the EU will be introduced; regional economic policies in the EU will then be progressively presented. The second part will illustrate how regions may steer their own economic destiny and enhance territorial cohesion by making use of the available resources and EU supportive actions. In the final part of the Summer School, the new perspectives of regional development and policy in the EU will be discussed and analysed.
