The "Impact of Behavioural Economics on Policy-Making” included three papers relating to behavioural economics, applicable to different sides of the public sector: from investigating taxes and public services, to using behavioural economic insights for better decision-making within the healthcare system in Romania, to a Romanian case study for regulating urban commons. The papers presented ideas of using behavioural insights for improving public sector mechanism and results.
The research work presented underlined the ideas of using behavioural economics to tackle the public sector’s current challenges. The papers were the starting point for discussions between the audience (from academics to practitioners) with respect to behavioural results and applicability.
The panel provided an interesting framework for sharing the outcomes of academic research and practitioners’ expertise.
