Much better option is to take the inexpensive Croatia Airlines bus which takes you to the main bus station in central Zagreb (Autobusni kolodvor). Buses leave every half an hour outside the airport terminal, and tickets, costing 30 kn (4 €), can be bought online or directly from the bus driver. For additional information, please call +385 01 6331 982. More details on http://www.plesoprijevoz.hr/en

Once you arrive at the main bus station in central Zagreb, you can flag down a taxi to take you to your accommodation or use a tram. Tram lines 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 run by the bus station, but only line 6 (direction „Črnomerec") go to the Zagreb main square – Trg bana Josipa Jelačića. You can buy a single ticket from tram/bus driver or at the newspaper kiosk.
