TRANSYLVANIAN REVIEW OF ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES

Call for papers

Background:

The Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences (TRAS) was first published in 1998 as a response to an increasing need for specialized scientific journals in the field of administrative sciences in Romania. TRAS features an interdisciplinary approach to the aforementioned field and it is meant to be useful for both the academic community and the practitioners.

TRAS has an international board formed of specialists in the field of public administration

The Review is now available online free of charge, at http://www.polito.ubbcluj.ro/rtsa.ro. The Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences was selected for coverage in Thompson Reuters products and custom information services beginning with no. 22E 2008. The review is also listed with EBSCO http://www.ebsco.com/. The Review is listed in the International Bibliography of Social Sciences (www.lse.ac.uk/collections/IBSS) and at the national level it is ranked by the Romanian National Council for Scientific Research (CNCSIS) A.

Themes covered

The general topic covered by the articles in the Review is administrative sciences. As a result of an interdisciplinary, modern approach, the articles cover the following specific themes: Public management, public policy, administrative law, public policy analysis, regional development, community development, public finances, urban planning, program evaluation in public administration, ethics, comparative administrative systems, etc. From the standpoint of the topic covered, the Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences is lined up with the trends followed by other international journals in the field of public administration.

Frequency

Until 2003 two issues of the Review were published per year. Starting with 2004 the board’s effort was aimed at publishing three issues per year.

Submission

The Review is currently published in February, June, and October. The authors must submit the articles one month in advance (the deadlines are: January 1st for the February issue, May 1st for the June issue and September 1st for the October issue). The articles will be submitted via email for the editor (Cristina Mora) to the following address cristina@rtsa.ro. All articles need to comply with the format requested by the editorial board and the references must be formatted according to the style described online at http://www.rtsa.ro/(rules of citation).

All the submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by international referees. Once the review process is completed, the authors will be notified if their article is accepted for publication, if it needs minor changes or it is rejected without the possibility to resubmit it.

We look forward for your articles. Please do not hesitate to contact our editor provided you have questions, comments or you need additional information.
